Ans.. Islam teaches: Allah is one. None but He is worthy of worship, And Mohammad (peace be upon him) is the servant and prophet of Allah. The Holy Quran is the Book of Allah. Islam is the true religion. Islam teaches all good and noble things of this world and world hereafter.

Ans. The KALIMAH of Islam is :
LAA ; ILAAHA ; IL - LAL – LAAH ; MUHAM-MADUR ; RASULUL – LAAH
(None but Allah is worthy of worship Muhammad is His Messenger). This is called KALIMAH – TAY-YIBAH (the good word) or KALIMAH TAUHEED (the creed of Onneness of Allah).

Ans.. He who refuses to believe Hadrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) to be the prophet of Allah is a kafir (unbeliever).
..:Q 17:.. Was the whole of the Quran revealed to the prophet at one time or bit by bit?
Ans.. It was revealed bit by bit according to the needs of the time. Sometimes one verse, sometimes two or three verses (ayahs) and sometimes the whole of the chapter (Surah) was revealed.
..:Q 18:.. How long did the revelation of the whole of the Holy Quran take ?
Ans.. It took twenty-three (23) years.
..:Q 19:.. How was the Holy Quran revealed?
Ans.. Hadrat Jibril (Angel Gabriel) came to him. He recited the verse or the verses or the whole chapter to the Holy Prophet (peace be on him). The Holy Prophet (peace be on him) memorized it, then he dictated it to some literate person who commited it to writing.

Ans.. It is because he was unlettered (Um –mi).

Ans. Allah created us, our parents, the heavens, the earth and all other things.

Ans.. He created by His might and decree.

Ans. Kafirs are those who do not believe in existence of Allah, in short kafirs are unbelievers.

Ans.. Such people are also called kafirs (unbelievers) or Mushriks (polyteists)

Ans.. Muhammad (peace be upon him) was Allah’s servant, His Messenger and Prophet. We, Muslims, are his followers or community (Um –mah).

Ans.. He was born in the holy city of Mecca in Arabia.
..:Q 13 :.. What were the names of father and grandfather?.
Ans.. ‘Abdul –lah was the name of his revered father and that of his grandfather was ‘Abdul Mut – talib.
..:Q 14:.. What is the status of our Prophet among other prophets?
Ans.. Our prophet (peace be upon him) occupies the highest place among the prophets and is the most exalted of all Allah’s creation.

Ans.. He lived in the holy city of Mecca up to the age of fifty-three (53 years). Thereafter, in obedience to the command of Allah, he migrated to the hallowed city of Medina. He lived there for ten years and passed away at the age of 63 years.

Ans.. Um-mi is one who has not learnt how to read and write from anyone. The Holy Prophet did not learn how to read and write from anyone, but Allah bestowed the profoundest knowledge upon him.
..:Q 22:.. Who is Hadrat Jibril?
Ans.. Hadrat Jibril is an angel. He carried the orders of Allah to the Holy Prophet.
..:Q 23:.. How do the muslims worship Allah?
Ans.. The Muslims (i) offer Salaat (prayers), (ii) observe fasts, (iii) give Zakaat (alms), and (iv) perform Haj (pilgrimage to Mecca ), (v) reading Quran.

Ans.. Salaat is particular way of worship and devotion to Allah taught by Him through the Holy Quran by His Prophet (peace be upon him) through his Sunnah (percepts).

Ans.. Muslims stand with folded hands before Allah either in a mosque or in their houses. They recite verses from the Holy Quran. They praise Allah, affirm His Greateness and pay Homage to Him. They bow before Him, place their foreheads on the ground and affirm their servitude and submissiveness to Him.
